NO ONE GETS OUT OF BED FOR MONEY.

CREATE A CULTURE WORTH WAKING UP FOR.

Hire me for Purpose, Values and Culture Enhancement Work.

CLIENT OVERVIEW

We get out of bed because we are in search of meaning in our lives.

One of the biggest problems companies have is how to attract and keep the right people. Turn over is one of the biggest costs to a company.

I believe that to have people stay--you need a clearly defined purpose and values you live.

People like nice things. Your culture needs to be a nice thing.

Your purpose and values map will need to be named by your CEO or visionary and they will need to be integrated into the culture and everything you do.

This is where I come in.

mEET JANNE

Hi, I’m Janne. You can think of me as the cool aunt of corporate. I support organizations to create CULTURES OF MEANING through clarifying purpose and values with CEOs and founders (top down) and working directly with teams through workshops and leadership coaching to foster connection and belonging (bottom up).

I specialize in culture creation, repair, or enhancement work.

I am also an executive coach, keynote speaker, and host workshops at corporate retreats.

AS SEEN IN

Of all the things we're meant to spend our money, time and energy on, is purpose, values and culture seriously something we need to prioritize?

We're busy, Janne. This shit sounds woo.

WORD.

I understand. Companies are being asked to be a lot these days–by their customers and their staff AND it's a nonnegotiable for forward facing companies who want to thrive today to invest in these 3 core things:

Companies that wake up to serve a purpose outshine their competition because they have a heartbeat.

Your purpose is something not just for the CEO and founders to anchor into but also something that if your employees align with, will self motivate them to contribute, because it's not just your purpose, it's their purpose too.

Hire me to define your company’s purpose →

Values aren't just words on a wall for customers, and marketing campaigns–they are also your internal company GPS system.

You want these on the forehead of your company so you attract the right people. Your values should be listed at the top of every job description and be used daily by HR and leadership to give feedback.

Hire me to define your company’s values →

Employees don't just care about a paycheck and a pension anymore.

They care about work that has meaning and knowing they are contributing to something bigger than themselves each day. They want to know they belong and they want to support a cause. They want to know they matter.

Hire me for Culture Enhancement Work →

“The idea that a company should stand for something bigger than profit has a long history in business. But in the last few years, it’s become central to the public dialogue,” says Weinberger. “The hard part - the real test of an organizations’ purpose - is figuring out how to make it more than just words in a memo. For purpose to really matter, it needs to go beyond an initiative that sits on the margins of the organization.”

MARK WEINBERGER, GLOBAL CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF EY

Cultivating a purpose-driven culture leads to high belonging which is linked to:

56%

increase in job performance

50%

drop in turnover risk

75%

reduction in sick days

For a company of 10,000 employees, this equates to annual savings of over $52M*.

“Purpose work with Janne impacted not only my path but changed the trajectory of the 1200 person organization I run and everyone involved."

JASON PETERSON, CEO GO DIGITAL MEDIA GROUP

"Janne was a very engaging and active speaker. She was easy to converse with in small groups and one-on-one sessions. I was very happy that she was part of our Winter Conference Agenda, and I know many people derived great value from her sessions. I would like to arrange for Janne to engage with a larger team at our Bob’s EMS."

kEYNOTES

Sometimes we just need to be entertained. We need a break from KPI’s. We need a break from Sprints. We need to be told a story, brought back into our hearts, to laugh and remember the inherent humanness of ourselves and everyone around us.

“My purpose session with Janne helped put into words and action all the disconnected, ambiguous thoughts I had about the 'why' in my life and in my career. It also served as a beacon for decision-making on how to spend my time in order to fulfill my purpose."

LOGAN MULVEY, CEO OF YOGA WORKS

Women on Purpose

The Power of Giving Our Gifts.

In a world where workplaces sometimes fail to ask or recognize each individual's unique gifts and sense of purpose, Janne walks into a room and dares to ask, “What are your gifts? What gives your life fulfillment, meaning, and color?”

Twelve years ago Janne quit her job, moved to a new province and moved into a tiny cabin alone with the intention of pursuing her dream of being a writer. Come with Janne as she learns how to use an ax, make friends with the metaphorical and real black bears in the woods, be rejected over and over as a budding artist, find her voice as a writer and then–see her fly.

In this 60 minute talk Janne reminds us that we all have a purpose and unique gifts that are to both to be trusted and brought forth. Her journey will leave audiences laughing, feeling warm, and understanding of the courage needed to pursue their own dreams.

As a result of this program, attendees will:

  • Learn what some of their unique gifts are that belong to only them.

  • Walk away inspired to bring more of themselves and their creativity to their lives and workplace.

  • Leave with a clear understanding of what purpose is.

  • Identify the #1 thing that stops people from getting on purpose and how to overcome it.

Forget the Audience

How to Tell a Story the World Will Remember.

We are told to create for our audience–but Janne believes that the only way to write what the audience really needs is to forget about them entirely.

With several poems read over 2 million times–her secret is this–write like you are on the moon and no one will ever read it. For when we have the courage to stay in the lane of what is inside of us, what moves us, what knocks on the doors of our most honest dreams—those words are exactly what the world needs.

Join Janne in this interactive and creative keynote where she shares her strategy behind creating viral poems and short films while simultaneously encouraging attendees to trust the stories and ideas inside of them.

As a result keynote attendees will:

  • Perspective shift. Leave feeling a sense of empowerment around how to innovate, and create from a different place.

  • Marketing re-imagined. This talk brought into marketing teams of companies will leave teams feeling inspired to market and talk about their products differently.

  • Feel energized to problem solve small and different aspects of their role in a new way.

How Poetry Can Transform The World

How to Create Movements of Change

What if poetry could single handedly start movements, create impact and change the world? What if one person writing a truth that is inside of themselves could spark millions? Janne has been using poetry as a vessel for not only her individual transformation but as a way to transform the world for 10 years.

With Janne, poetry is more than a verse or art - it’s a powerful conduit and invitation for people to express their insides, outside and in doing so to create a life of meaning.

When brought into the workplace, university or conference, this approach highlights the most human parts of ourselves—inevitably breaking down barriers, and fosters deeper connection between teams.

As a result of this keynote attendees will:

  • Learn a new medium of expression. Fire new synaptic responses and pathways in their brain. This can promote confidence and the enhanced ability to creatively problem solve in their lives and work.

  • A sense of connection and belonging with other attendees. In hearing the poems of people around them, people often realize how similar our story is to those around us. People leave this keynote feeling more connected to the people in their organization and less alone in their life experience.

  • It’s poetry, but underneath the poetry is an opportunity for attendees to witness and therefore transform an experience or a feeling from their lives.

The Pivot

The Power of Re-Creating Rejection

Janne believes that 50% of leadership and innovation is remembering the importance of pivoting.

Business is a conversation of resonance. Not every idea, product or offer a company creates will take with their audience. So how do we learn to overcome taking rejection personally, listen and pivot on purpose?

In her interactive keynote, Janne encourages attendees to embrace the art of pivoting, emphasizing resilience and the power of imaginative thinking. She guides participants through strategies for navigating setbacks, adjusting approaches, and persisting in the face of challenges. Ultimately, Janne's message underscores the balance between staying true to one's creative vision and remaining adaptable to ensure sustained relevance and impact.

CHRIS LAVERGNE, CEO & FOUNDER OF THOUGHT CATALOG

“Janne is nothing short of enchanting.”

In Capacity

Resourced Leadership

When our bodies go into survival from not having enough sleep, water, movement–we go into survival. We then run companies and teams from survival. You cannot be intentional, problem solve, be on purpose or have clear discernment in leadership when you’re in survival.

The mindset shift that needs to be taken is from thinking it’s either or to self-care is a non negotiable. It isn't either “take care of myself” or “take care of my work”. It’s I take care of myself so I can live in my capacity and therefore contribute the highest quality of work inside of me.

If you do not take care of yourself—your ideas, solutions and team pays, as well as yourself personally.

Boundaries

LEADERSHIP FROM WHOLENESS

It's easy when an email is yelling at you, and your phone is ringing to blow off your self care. After all, your yoga mat doesn't give you the side eye when you blow off your self-care. But what is the repercussion to the quality of your work and team when you don't make it to the gym for a week?

You're less patient when someone makes an error. You're less sharp and make small mistakes because your brain feels foggy and tired.

Our boundaries with ourselves are sometimes the hardest to be in integrity with and the most important of all.

Join Janne in this interactive workshop which includes group activities aimed at showing people where their leaks and wobble in their boundaries with themselves, their work and others are.

Participants will leave with a felt understanding of what a boundary is in their body and why boundaries with ourselves and others are essential to expand our leadership skills.

Transformation Through Poetry

Self Expression in Poetry

Join Janne in this interactive and creative workshop that allows participants to access a different part of their creative brain through self expression in poetry.

This can be refreshing for people in companies who often fuel their creativity into marketing emails and problem solving to use their creativity differently.

Janne will go first, reciting several of her own poems creating a space of openness for participants to write and share their poems with the group.

Poem choice and the topic of the poetry prompts for attendees will be custom fit for each company depending on their unique needs in their company culture and desired outcome for the workshop.

Conversations on Commitment

Integrity in the Workspace

Join Janne in this interactive workshop where participants have the opportunity to explore their relationship with commitment. When we keep a commitment, be it showing up on time or submitting work on a deadline-- it shows that we value and respect not only the other person involved, but also ourselves. To break a commitment shows the opposite. Learn how to consciously adjust commitments--because life happens. Sometimes your dad has brain surgery, or your kid gets sick--however it is important to adjust our commitments in a way that shows others involved that you respect and understand the commitment and are asking for a change.

Janne will provide examples of how to adjust commitments with respect in the workplace and also prompt attendees to be curious about why they may be out of integrity with some agreements in their personal or professional lives in the first place.

Clearing the Air

Creating a culture of Honesty

I have always believed that honesty is the best way to take care of someone.

Yet, we often avoid the conversations we need most.

We lean back from having them in our personal and professional lives because these sweaty uncomfortable conversations require an honesty that puts the writing on the wall. And we’re afraid of the writing on the wall as it means we might need to quit, or leave our marriage.

The most forward thinking CEO’s and companies I work with create cultures where honesty is encouraged. Why? Good leadership doesn’t desire to retain talent who doesn’t want to be in the room.

This communication workshop is a great way to introduce the values of honesty and transparency on the wall of your company. To teach your team how to have compassionate and effective clearing conversations so that everyone can breathe.

The 10 second sweaty uncomfortable conversation script will change the lives of your team and the culture of your company forever.

“Everyone should attend Janne’s workshops—they are for absolutely everyone. The biggest highlight for me was getting to know others in a safe, non judgmental environment with an empowering woman leading the way. She was a creative and motivational speaker. One of the things I have integrated into my life is to turn off all social media hours before bed time, it’s helped with creating a more constant sleep pattern for myself.”

What Our Client say?

THE POINT

Purpose isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a proven business strategy.

Values aren’t words on a wall, they are your index card on hiring, feedback and integral culture creation.

Culture is the air that your employees breathe day in and day out. Your employees are basically plants. You need to set the right environment for them to want to stay.

Investing in culture creates a strong foundation, drives unity and coherence, and propels organizations towards sustained success.

“Janne Robinson is a valuable asset to any organization that wants to create an environment of creativity, passion, and belonging.”
